Michelle Obama-Is not a Great Beauty-Says Supermodel Iman

Iman*One of the world’s first black supermodels has a few thoughts to share regarding the nation’s first African American first lady.

“Mrs. Obama is not a great beauty,” says Iman, the Somali-born model and wife of rocker David Bowie, to Sunday’s Parade magazine. “But she is so interesting looking and so bright. That will always take you farther. When you’re a great beauty, it’s always downhill for you. If you’re someone like Mrs. Obama, you just get better with age.”

“One had the field ni**er and the house ni**er. There was this notion that I was chosen by white fashion editors to be better than the rest, which I am not,” she added. “I did not like being thought of as the house ni**er.

  1. Why is that the title of this piece totally misrepresents the content of the writing? If you read the title you think that Iman is trying to start yet another beef, but the story is the exact opposite. Davey, please stop trying to be righteous one day and salacious the next! Have some integrity!

  2. Michelle isn’t a great beauty, I’ve seen more beautiful dark skinned women like my wife, but if they keep putting her on magazines enough, like Flavor Flav, she’ll do a 360 with Iman and our perception. And yeah, David Bowie is gay, come to think of it. I don’t know about the lack of integrity, yet, but this is the first time I heard this. I thought this was a site of some more ignorant hip-hop stuff, this site is actually informative. At least he has some integrity to bring forth stuff we not getting on tv or black “radio”.
